2026 Event Schedule
Winter Quarters 1864
February 19-22, 2026 – Along the Rapidan, Va.
A hyper-authentic 4-day soldier life experience event recreating the Fluvanna Artillery to full scale in their February 1864 camp. From Thursday to Sunday we will follow an original battery’s hours of service to the minute—every Stable Call, every drill, every Reveille, Retreat, and Tattoo. By Sunday we’ll be as close to a functioning Civil War artillery battery as is possible in 2026.
National Memorial Day Parade
May 23-25, 2026 – Washington, DC
The Liberty Rifles infantry and 1st Section artillery will march through the nation's capital in commemoration of Memorial Day.
We Can Keep Them Back: 2nd Bull Run
August 2026 – Manassas National Battlefield Park
The Liberty Rifles and 1st Section will be portraying US infantry and artillery on Chinn Ridge.
McClellan’s Bodyguard
October 9-11, 2026 – Pleasant Valley, Md.
We’ll be portraying the 2nd Maryland Infantry (US) in the wake of the battle of Antietam, as General McClellan kept the Army of the Potomac near the battlefield for over a month afterward.
Vigilance Was Exacted: The Immortal 600
November 6-8, 2026 - Fort Pulaski, Ga.
Hosted by the Liberty Guard, participants will represent the Federal garrison of Fort Pulaski and the Confederate prisoners housed there.
REMEMBRANCE DAY
November 14, 2026 - Gettysburg, PA.
Once again we'll take to the battlefield to follow in the footsteps of a specific U.S. Army unit. Following our program we will join in the annual parade.
The Cannoneer Mounted
December 2026 – Kentucky
Hosted by 1st Section, participants will recreate an artillery battery as it transitioned from a mounted battery in which the cannoneers marched on foot, to a flying battery in which the cannoneers rode saddle horses.
WINTER 1864: POINT LOOKOUT
February 2027 - Point Lookout, MD.
The Liberty Rifles will once again host an immersive event recreating the garrison of Point Lookout in early 1864.
